Welcome to MBTI Paws — Where Every Cat Has a Story, and Every Owner Finds Their Purrfect Match!

Hi, I’m MewMew. This blog started with a simple belief: meeting the right cat at the right time changes everything.

In 2018, I walked into an animal hospital looking for a companion and ended up taking home a six-month-old Domestic Shorthair (Que Mao, literally “sparrow cat”) receiving treatment for a stomach condition. He was born with a “kinked tail”, yet had classic marled fishbone-tabby markings. I named him Yīliù (One-Six) —commemorates the year I moved to this city, 2016.

Back then, I had no idea how much effort it would take to get him healthy. From dealing with his digestive issues to learning how to enrich his indoor life, and truly understanding why “neuter + microchip” are fundamental steps in responsible pet care. Six and a half years later, Yīliù has grown into a healthy and happy indoor-only cat, and I’ve become an owner who finally understands why “adopt, don’t shop” is a lifestyle, not just a slogan.

As an INFP, the time spent with him has provided me with steady emotional support. We’ve adapted together to a fully indoor life, gone through regular deworming check-ups, chosen high-quality cat food, and tackled the common challenges every cat owner faces.

This blog is the guide I wish I had back then.

At MBTI Paws, you‘ll find:

  • Breed Insights That Go Beyond Looks Bengal cats are cool, Maine Coons are gentle — but is that high-energy, “extroverted” cat really suited to your INTJ work-from-home rhythm? We combine feline genetic traits with human personality frameworks (like MBTI) to help you find a lasting match.
  • An Adoption-First Ethos, Backed by Science Every article is rooted in mature pet-care principles: indoor living, preventive healthcare, and ethical consumption. Yīliù’s journey from a sick kitten to a healthy “senior” cat provides the real-life context for every piece of advice shared here.
  • Real Stories, Practical Solutions From litter box issues to decoding those “3 a.m. zoomies,” I share what worked (and what didn’t) during our 2,300 days together. No judgment here — just practical, tried-and-tested wisdom shared from one cat parent to another.
  • Measuring Life in Joy We champion the “life feels better because of my cat” energy. Here, we unabashedly celebrate cat headbutts, slow blinks, and the magic of a purring cat on a bad day — alongside sharing data on how pets improve mental well-being.
  • Curated Picks for a Fulfilling Cat Life When I recommend a water fountain or a vet-approved treat, it’s because Yīliù has tried it himself. This blog also nurtures our future shop, but trust comes first: anything featured here has earned its place in our home.

Why I Write

Because finding your feline match shouldn’t rely on luck. Because “indoor cat” should mean “enriched life.” Whether you’re preparing for your first kitten or caring for your third senior cat, you deserve advice that’s personalized, evidence-based, and given with heart.

That’s what Yīliù taught me. Now, let’s find your MBTI Meows.
